Animation production
We make animation for brands, public institutions and IP holders, from planning to delivery, under one roof. We propose the approach that fits your budget and goals first, and use AI where it helps.

Matching the right production method to your plan and proposing practical options for your budget
When clients inquire about animation, two questions usually come first: 'Can we achieve the look of our reference film within our budget and schedule?' and 'What if the finished film looks different from what we pictured?' Even for the same one-minute length, frame-by-frame hand-drawn animation and rigged cut-out animation require very different crew sizes and hours, making it hard to see where costs rise.
Airship Studio looks at your project goals and available budget together, then designs production options that get the strongest screen result within those conditions. You do not need a finished brief to start. Share where the video will run, your rough budget range, and any reference videos, and we will propose two or three practical production approaches before locking the quote.
Production options tailored to budget and goals
- Cut-out + hand-drawn highlightsWhen full hand-drawn animation (around KRW 20–40M per minute) exceeds the budget, we build dialogue and explanation scenes in cut-out (around KRW 5–15M per minute) and place hand-drawn animation on opening hooks or key action cuts.
- Cut-out for series and campaignsDesigning characters in a standing base pose for PSD part separation and rigging lets us reuse assets across scenes and future episodes, keeping quality and per-episode costs steady.
- Motion graphics & infographic integrationFor service structures, statistics, or policy explanations that character acting alone cannot carry, we combine typography and infographic motion to sharpen clarity and shorten production time.
- Full AI & AI hybrid workflowsDepending on budget and timeline, we offer both full AI animation—from concept-art-grade AI storyboards through final video generation—and AI hybrid production where characters are animated in 2D while AI handles mood concepts, complex backgrounds, or effects.
A pipeline that locks visuals and pacing before main production
The biggest risk in animation outsourcing is discovering after animation is finished that the client and production team had different films in mind. Because animating takes the largest crew, changing direction or art style at that stage means redoing earlier steps from scratch.
That is why we invest heavily in pre-production. After distilling the core message in the scenario, we deliver not only static storyboards but also a storyboard reel (timed edit) so you can check runtime and pacing upfront. We then lock concept art (character, background, color palette) and 3D-assisted layouts so every artist works to the same standard before cut design and main animation begin. Editing, compositing, and voice recording and mixing with our partner sound studio are all coordinated under one roof.
Gyeonggi Ddok-D, YooHoopedia, Muzi in My Heart, Tae-il
For Gyeonggi Province's mobile wallet app 'Gyeonggi Ddok-D', instead of listing app screens, we directed and produced a relatable everyday story showing residents verifying themselves at public offices by phone. For Aurora World's 'YooHoopedia', we brought existing characters into a rigged cut-out series. We also handled main production on roughly half the episodes of Kakao's 'Muzi in My Heart' MV part and contributed in-betweening, clean-up, and coloring for the opening and ending sequences of the feature film 'Tae-il'.
Allowing time for feedback rounds, we recommend reaching out at least 3–4 weeks ahead. One round of revisions per stage is included at no extra cost.

How long does production usually take?
It varies a lot by project. Allowing time for feedback, we suggest getting in touch at least 3–4 weeks ahead for any project. Rush jobs are possible with a rush fee.
2D animation, 3D, live action or AI: which is right for us?
Once we know the purpose, budget and schedule, we suggest the right approach at the planning stage. We don’t stick to one method, and we also suggest mixing in AI at the stages where it helps.
Can you work with public institutions (procurement, quotes, business documents)?
Yes. We are registered on KONEPS (Nara Marketplace). Send us the list of documents you need and we will prepare them.
What kind of film do you need?
Tell us your goal, schedule and budget, and we will reply with an approach and quote within 2–3 business days.
