Services
Brand & ads
We start by deciding together what to say. We sharpen the key message and turn it into scenes people watch to the end.
Characters & series
Not a character people see once and forget, but one they want to keep meeting. We design personality, expression and movement in detail, and grow the character into the face of your brand.
Webtoon & IP
We make films that fans of the original recognize first. We start by finding what makes the original special, then create PVs, trailers, music videos and drama openings in the style that fits the work.
Process
From planning to delivery, we bring the many stages of video production under one roof. We design a pipeline for your budget and goals, and use AI at the stages where it helps.

Questions before you commission
How much does a film cost?
Cost depends on length, production method, planning scope and difficulty. Here are typical ranges for work we are often asked about.
Animation
- Webtoon animation PVAbout 1 min, KRW 5–10M per film
- Short-form webtoon animationAbout 1 min, KRW 0.5–1M per episode (multi-episode packages)
- Cutout animationKRW 5–15M per minute
- Hand-drawn animationKRW 20–40M per minute
AI hybrid
- AI short filmKRW 5–20M per 30 seconds
- TV ad scenes, AI VFX compositingFrom KRW 1M per shot, more for complex compositing
- Brand film, seasonal campaignKRW 20–50M for 60–90 seconds, around KRW 100M for a full package
Live action
Shot with partner directors and quoted by scale.
The final price comes as a quote after we review the plan and its difficulty.
How long does production usually take?
It varies a lot by project. Allowing time for feedback, we suggest getting in touch at least 3–4 weeks ahead for any project. Rush jobs are possible with a rush fee.
When will I get a quote?
We reply within 2–3 business days of your inquiry. If we need more material for a quote, we get back to you within 2–3 business days of receiving it.
What do you need from me for a quote?
The purpose, where it will run, expected length, preferred schedule, reference videos and the budget you have in mind. Leave anything undecided blank and we will work it out together.
2D animation, 3D, live action or AI: which is right for us?
Once we know the purpose, budget and schedule, we suggest the right approach at the planning stage. We don’t stick to one method, and we also suggest mixing in AI at the stages where it helps.
Does AI make it cheaper or faster?
It depends on the project. Replacing a shoot, standing in for VFX or quickly exploring concept art can cut time and cost significantly. But today’s AI is clearly better at some tasks than others. So we look at the whole plan first, use AI only at the stages where it works well, and quote on that basis. The price follows the pipeline we design.
How many revisions are included?
One round of revisions per stage is included at no cost. From the second round, extra charges apply. Reworking a stage that has already been approved may also incur a rework fee.
Can AI-made video be used commercially?
Yes. We only use AI tools that allow commercial use, and we check and review licensing ourselves before delivery.
Is there a minimum budget?
We usually start projects of KRW 5M or more per contract. Projects under KRW 10M are reviewed against our schedule. Feel free to get in touch whatever your budget.
Is pricing different for a series or multiple films?
Yes. Rates can be adjusted for volume work or annual contracts. Feel free to ask.
How is AI hybrid video different from conventional production?
Conventional video relies only on existing methods such as shooting, hand-drawn animation, 3D and VFX, and some scenes can push schedule and cost up sharply. AI hybrid keeps those methods as the base and adds AI only at stages where quality can be controlled. Planning, direction, character design and final compositing stay with people. AI is used to explore concept art quickly, and for time-consuming work like hard-to-shoot backgrounds, live-action scenes and VFX compositing. That widens what you can show within the same budget and schedule, and lets 2D animation, 3D and live action sit together in one film.
Which AI tools do you use?
We pick from a range of tools to suit the job, including Codex, Claude, Seedance, Higgsfield, ComfyUI and Suno.
Can you keep our existing character or webtoon art style?
Yes. But the right method depends on the style. Some styles come closer to the original with cutout or hand-drawn animation than with AI. We look at the original first and suggest the method that fits.
When do I review the work during production?
We send the plan, storyboard and reel, a work-in-progress cut and the final film, and collect your feedback at each step. Review points are set with the schedule at the start.
How do meetings work? Can you work with clients outside Seoul or abroad?
We usually meet online, and in-person meetings are possible in the Seoul and Gyeonggi area. We take on projects from other regions and overseas, and can communicate simply in English and Japanese.
Who owns the finished film and source files?
Tell us which files, media and usage period you need when we talk. Source files and usage rights follow the terms in the contract.
How do you keep unreleased work confidential?
For unreleased work, we agree on the scope of confidentiality before starting. For security-sensitive projects, we can also produce without using AI at all.
How are deposits and final payments split?
For productions of up to two months, payment is split 40:60 between deposit and balance. Longer productions are split 40:30:30 into deposit, interim payment and balance. For contracts running a quarter, half a year or more than a year, we agree a payment schedule to match.
Can you work with public institutions (procurement, quotes, business documents)?
Yes. We are registered on KONEPS (Nara Marketplace). Send us the list of documents you need and we will prepare them.
Can you handle voice actors, music and sound effects?
Yes. We can take on everything from casting voice actors to composing music, sound effects and sound mixing.
Can you make versions with subtitles or dubbing in other languages?
Yes. Tell us the languages and whether you need subtitles or dubbing, and we will include it in the quote.
Can you create live-action scenes with AI, without a shoot?
Yes, we can create live-action scenes with AI without a shoot. Some scenes still work better shot for real, so we decide between shooting and AI together at the planning stage.
Can you revise an existing film or make a follow-up?
We need to see the existing film first to work out how to revise or continue it. Send the film and any source files you have, and we will come back with an approach and a quote.
Can I get versions for each channel, like vertical video for YouTube or Instagram?
Yes. Tell us where it will run, and we will set the aspect ratio and length from the planning stage.
My schedule is very tight. Can you still do it?
We look at the workload and tell you first whether it is possible. If it is, we send a quote that includes a rush fee.
Who owns the rights to a newly created character?
When Airship Studio creates a new character, the copyright first belongs to the studio. Transferring the rights to you requires an assignment agreement. The scope of the transfer is set out in the contract, and the license fee is agreed separately.
Do you take on work that needs approval from the original creator or IP owner?
Yes. For work that needs approval, we build the review schedule in from the plan and storyboard stage.
Can we continue with more episodes or another season?
Yes. We can make the next episode or season with the same characters and style, carrying over the settings and materials from the first.
Can I visit the studio for a meeting?
Yes. The studio is at 805, 20, Neureul 2-ro, Namyangju-si, Gyeonggi-do (CH Libero Building, Hopyeong-dong). Please arrange a time before you visit.
Can we agree not to show the work in your portfolio?
As a rule, we show our work in our portfolio. Keeping work private carries real risk for the studio too, so we don’t accept non-disclosure requests.
Who have you worked with?
Over 80 projects, from brand and ad films to public campaigns, character series, webtoon and game PVs, and music videos. Clients include Samsung, SK, Hyundai E&C, KB Kookmin Card, Kakao, Naver Webtoon, Binggrae, IOPE, DB Insurance and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
Can we book training or talks?
Yes. We take on workshops for companies and institutions and talks on animation production. Director Kang Minseok teaches AI-assisted animation production and post-production at Chungkang College of Cultural Industries and Shingu College. Choose “Education & talks” in the form and tell us the audience, size and topics.
What should I check before outsourcing a video?
Checking five things up front makes it smoother: the film’s purpose and channels, your budget range, review and revision scope at each stage, the files and usage rights you will receive, and whether AI-made assets can be used commercially.
Anything not covered here? Add it to your inquiry.
What kind of film do you need?
Tell us the purpose, timing and a few reference videos, and we’ll reply within 2–3 business days. Anything still open, we can work out together.
